Ministries

Children's Ministry
Holy Cross is a family-first congregation. We believe that God has called us to help parents feel equipped as the primary Christian Educators in the church. Every Parent, by virtue of being a parent, is called by God to pass faith to the next generation (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). We do love to provide expert children's ministries such as CREW (youth group for 4th-6th grades), GANG (Youth Group for 7th-12th grades), Children's Church (every Sunday during Worship), Soul Shine (youth provide music during worship), a Sunday Nursery, VBS, and the best PreSchool in Bordentown (contact Kathy Schroeder). However we are also committed to do whatever it takes to help mom and dad grow in their God-given calling to talk about faith at home. Ask about our Faith Legacy Series.

Music Ministry
At Holy Cross, we have been blessed with a constantly growing number of capable (and expert) musicians to provide worship music for Sunday morning. Our band leads us in praise, thanksgiving, and worship. If you interested in learning more about our Music Ministry, contact John Slaight.

Women's Ministry
HCLC has its own Lutheran Women's Missionary League chapter, contact Carol Beismann for a schedule of monthly activities or to find out more about how we engage women in ministry. We also have a women's small group gathering which is organized by Maryann Puls.

Pub Theology
Coming Soon! Meet with us monthly at our favorite local pub and talk about hot topics in a casual environment where all opinions are respected. Contact Pastor Dan if you want to be notified about the schedule.
Men's Ministry
Our Men's Fellowship ministry is under the direction of Doug Puls. We focus primarily on having a good time together, in the belief that God has us together at HCLC for a reason. And did we mention we play Fantasy sports together?

Mercy Ministries
There is no question that Christians are designed by God to act mercifully in the world. At HCLC, we have identified several local needs, and have designed our Mercy ministries accordingly. Every year we provide school backpacks and other family supplies for local families in need through our VBS. We feed about 85 meals per month to local families who for various reasons have limited access to food. We also distribute hygiene products and other necessities to families with limited resources. Learn more about Isaiah Project by asking Karen Aschbacher. Our Ruth Ministry enables us to reach out with help to members of our church if they fall on tough times. We also support Food For the Poor, Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, and Lutheran World Relief

Fitness Ministry
Spiritual health includes doing what we can to remain body-healthy. And so HCLC has its very own Fitness Ministry, organized by Barb Tonzini. Fitness classes are pretty much every day, along with encouragement through our facebook page and motivation through working together to be healthy.
