It's All About Love
February 18th
1:00 - 3:30pm
All children Pre-K3 through 6th grade are invited to join us as we
celebrate "It's All About Love" here at HCLC. The day will
include class time, story time, snack, craft, games and fun fun fun!
Just as we love to give gifts to those we care for on Valentine Day, each child attending
is encouraged to bring a container of jelly to be added to a bag of groceries that will given to the underprivileged who are homeless and living in motels.
Registration deadline is Tuesday, February 14th. Forms can be found in the
basket on the coffee bar. You may give the registration form to any
Planning Team Leader, Amy Dunn or place it in the envelope on the
bulletin board.

2011 Summer VBS at HCLC August 8th - August 12th
Panda Mania ~ Where God is wild about you
God is so good and during VBS we learned that:
Day 1: He made us
"thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!" Psalm 139:14
Day 2: He listens to us
"you know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord." Psalm 139:4
Day 3: He watches over us
"Even in darkness I cannot hide from you." Psalm 139:12
Day 4: He loves us, no matter what
"Lead me along the path of everlasting life." Psalm 139:24
Day 5: He gives good gifts
"You place your hand of blessing on my head." Psalm 139:5
What an amazing week with 180 children and 70 volunteers participating. Throughout the week the children collected Preciouse Pennies, Noble Nickels, Dedicated Dimes, and Devoted Dollars. A grand total of $1,959.23 was donated between World Vision to help the relief efforts in Japan and to our Holy Cross Outreach Ministries. “PandaMania” was a HUGE success thanks to Amy Dunn, our VBS Leader, the VBS Planning Committee and all its volunteers. Whether you were able to make a material, monetary or time donation, we THANK YOU! You truly made a difference in the lives of all who participated.
What your kids can expect:
- Bible learning (about Jesus) that involves seeing, hearing, touching, and even tasting
- Keepsake craft items, team building games, lively Bible songs, and tasty treats
- Participation in a fund raiser to help those in need locally; over $17,000 has been raised since 2004
The VBS and mini-VBS programs are open to children ranging from 3 years old and potty trained up to children entering 6th grade.
Students 7th-12th grade may sign up as helpers and use their volunteer time as community service hours for confirmation or school requirements.
Contact Amy Dunn at tandadunn@comcast.net for more information on the programs and for registration.
