Welcome to our church web page.
Our mission is Building Faith in Every Home through Witness, Mercy, and Life Together.
Faith starts when God gives it through Baptism. (If you are interested in Baptism, please ask our Pastor.)
Witness, Mercy, and Life Together describe what a life of faith looks like. So let's look at our Mission statement a little more closely.
Building Faith in Every Home:
Our mission is to equip people for the God-designed life. We know that for people of all ages, Faith is built through an encounter with God's Word. We also know that God has appointed Christian parents to be the primary spiritual influence in their kids' lives, but many parents do not feel equipped for nurturing faith in their children. This is what motivates us. We are families on a mission that begins at home. As we share our experiences with one another, we all become better equipped to be Godly families.
Of course HCLC is dedicated to doing all we can to "fill in the gaps" as we work with children. Our young-people's ministries are excellent. But we also want to work directly with you as a Dad, Mom, Grandparent, Aunt or Uncle so that the youngest generation has the best chance for growing in faith. In short, home isn't just "where the heart it", it's also "where faith grows."

We talk about the free gift of God's grace that Jesus gives to the world in his death on the cross and resurrection to life again. "Witness" includes all the ways our conversations point to that good news. To read about all of our Witness ministries, click the Witness icon above.
Christian faith is more than just talk. We are also called to merciful acts of compassion and justice as we engage the world around us. "Mercy" includes everything we do in kindness to others simply because God has filled our hearts with love. To read about all of our Mercy activities, click the Mercy icon above.
Because we are all called to faith in God specifically through Jesus Christ, we are united together. We are joined like a family under Jesus who is the head of the house. "Life Together" then expresses the fact that this "family of God" does stuff together, sometimes even just for fun!
